Gestern hab ich Cairns verlassen und bin in die Tablelands gefahren. Das war ein Weg von ungefaehr 100 Kilometern und danach war ich erst mal ganz schoen ko. Uebernachtet habe ich auf einem schoenen Campingplatz am Lake Tinaroo. Dort werde ich wahrscheinlich auch noch bis Samstag oder Sonntag sein.

Heute war ich in Atherton. Dort hab ich erstmal meine Vorhaenge gefunden und die sind am Samstag fertig. Bis dahin werd ich ohne auskommen. Dann hab ich ein andere Matratze gefunden, eine die etwas dicker ist so dass man bequemer drauf schlafen kann. Alles das, was ich in Cairns nicht gefunden habe... Dann war ich noch auf einem Lookout in Atherton, dort hab ich bestimmt 2 Stnden verbracht. Man hat von dort einen Superblick ueber die ganze Gegend. Danach war ich am Curtain Fig Tree und jetzt befinde ich mich in Yungaburra im Visitorcenter.

Yesterday I was leaving Cairns into the Tablelands. i drove about 100 km and after that I was ko. I stay the night at a camping place near the Lake Tinaroo. i will stay there until Saturday or Sunday.

today I was in Atherton. I found my curtains and a big mattrass for my car. I didn't found it in Cairns. After that I went to a lookout and stay there for about 2 hrs. There you can see very much. After that I was at the Curtain Fig Tree and now I am staying at the Yungaburra visitorcenter.

Gestern hab ich mal einen faulen Tag gemacht und war den ganzen Tag auf dem Campingplatz am Lake Tinaroo. Dann hab ich mal mein Reisetagebuch aktualisiert und einige Broschueren und Prospekte weggeschmissen - hier bekommt man ja Berge davon. Ist so aehnlich wie in Amerkia. Heute hab ich mein Gardinen bekommen und die muss ich jetzt nur noch anmachen. Bin richtig happy. Ausserdem hab ich mal meine weitere Route geplant und werde die naechsten Tage unterwegs sein... Heute geht es noch nach Malanda auf eine Teeplantage. Bin mal gespannt, wie es dort ist. Danach werde ich wieder zum Campingplatz fahren und meine Gardinen dranmachen.

Mein weiterer Plan ist folgender: Morgen zu den Millaa Milla Falls zu fahren, dort zu uebernachten, dann am naechsten Tag nach Ravenshoe und dort wieder eine Uebernachtung. Danach geht es dann zum Undara National Park und dort werde ich zweimal uebernachten (einmal bei meiner Ankunft und dann einmal nach dem ich den Park gesehen habe). Danach werde ich weiter nach Sueden fahren und im "The Lynd" uebernachten. Das ist ein Roadhouse in der Mitte zwischen Undara NP und Charters Towers. Am naechsten Tag geht es weiter bis nach Charters Towers. Dann bin ich sogar schon auf der Hoehe von Townsville. Wie es dann weiter geht weiss ich noch nicht so genau.

@ Mari: Sorry, wenn ich dich heut morgen geweckt habe. Mir ist erst spaeter aufgefallen, dass es in D mitten in der Nacht ist.

Yesterday I didn't do very much. I just hanging around on the camping place. I wrote my travel diary and put some of my broschures in the bin. I had so much of them. Today i get my curtains and I have to put them on. I will do that later. First I will go to Malanda to a tea plantation. I interest to see how the tea will be processed.

My plan for the next follwing days is: Tomorrow I will go to the Millaa Milla Falls and camp there, after that I will go to Ravenshoe and look around there. After the next night I will go to the Undara National Park and stay there for two nights. After that I will leave to the South. I will stop at the Raodhouse "The Lynd" and in Chartes Towers. After that I do not know what I will do. I will see...

Steve Irwin - bekannt durch die Fernsehserie "Crocodile Hunter" - starb am 04. September 2006 vor der Kueste von Port Douglas durch den Stich eines Stachelrochens ins Herz.


Dazu muss ich euch jetzt noch verschiedenes schreiben:
In Port Douglas war auch schon mal kurz (etwa 30 Minuten) und das Staedtchen liegt ca. 60 Kilometer noerdlich von Cairns. Einen Stachelrochen hab ich auch schon mal unter Wasser gesehen, aber ich bin nicht ueber ihm geschwommen. Auch bin ich mir nicht 100% sicher, ob es wirklich ein Stachelrochen war - zumindest sah er so aehnlich aus wie auf dem Bild bei Wikipedia.

Das ist das Kennzeichen meines Autos. *freu*

Ich hab das Auto heute Mittag bekommen. Den groessten Teil des Campingzeugs auch, aber die Matratze leider nicht :-( :-(

Die muss ich morgen unbedingt noch besorgen, denn sonst ist das Schlafen im Auto bestimmt nicht so bequem. Ausserdem werde ich mich mal noch ein Kissen besorgen, denn das hebt den Schlafkomfort auch ungemein. Ansonsten fehlen mir noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten - wie zum Beispiel noch eine Aufbewahrungsbox, ein tiefer Teller und ein Abtropfsieb fuer meine Nudeln. Aber das ist alles halb so schlimm - ich werde alles irgendwo finden.

Morgen frueh werde ich spaetestens gegen 10 Uhr das Hostel verlassen haben - schade, ich fand es ziemlich schoen hier. Dann hab ich den restlichen Tag noch um meine Besorgungen zu machen und einen Campingplatz fuer die Nacht zu finden. Ich hoffe aber, dass ich Cairns morgen gegen Mittag verlassen kann und dann schon alles erledigt habe. Drueck mir die Daumen!!!

PS. Der CardReader des Internetcafes erkennt meine Karte nicht an und deswegen gibt es auch noch kein Bild. Sorry.

Endlich ist es soweit: Heute Mittag bekomme ich mein Auto. Es ist ein Toyota Camry Kombi. Farbe ist hellgruen. Bild gibt es leider noch nicht, denn ich hab das Auto ja noch nicht. :-) Wird aber schnellstmoeglich nachgeliefert.

Das bedeutet auch, dass ich heute Mittag erstmal Campingsachen shoppen gehen werde. Schliesslich braucht man, wenn man im Auto leben will, so einiges. Pfanne, Zelt und Stuhl hab ich schon von Johannes bekommen. Campingkocher, Schlafsack, Eski (die Kuehlbox heisst hier so) und einiges andere hab ich mir gestern schon ausgesucht und bezahlt. Das geh ich heute nur noch abholen. Aber das aller-aller-wichtigstes hab ich noch nicht: ein Matratze fuers Auto. Die muss ich heute noch besorgen. Sobald das Campingszeugs gekauft und verladen ist, gehe ich noch mal richtig einkaufen. Damit ich fuer die naechsten Tage und Wochen gut versorgt bin. Wobei mein Essen wahrscheinlich hauptsaechlich aus Nudeln, Reis, Sosse, Toast und Belag bestehen wird. Es lohnt sich einfach nicht wirklich fuer ein Person zu kochen. Da ich aber gerne warm esse, werd ich es wohl tun muessen. :-)

Today it will happen: I will get my car from the car dealer. The name of the car is Toyota Camry. It is a Station Wagon so I can sleep in the car. I don't have a pic of the car right now, because it is not my car yet.

If I will have the car, I will go and buy some camping stuff like a cooker, plates and a lot more. The important thing is a mattress. This is important because I want to sleep in the car. From Johannes - another german traveller - I get a tent, a chair and some more things. I don't need to buy them again. After I will get all my camping stuff I will go to coles or woolworth and buy my food and my drinks for the next days or weeks. Of course I will came to a lot of cities, but I don't want to buy food everywhere. The main things in my food will be noodles, rice, sauce and toast. It is not worth to cook warm things for one person. But I like it to eat warm food. So I have to cook for myself. :-) I think I will go to the Tablelands first.
